One in four children in Oklahoma struggles with hunger every day and Oklahoma is the 5th hungriest state in the nation. No child should ever go hungry. That’s why News 9 and the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma have teamed up to host the fourth-annual Oklahoma’s Own Ride Against Childhood Hunger.
It’s kickstands up with News 9’s Stan Miller for a scenic 100-mile motorcycle ride through central Oklahoma. Enjoy the open road and countryside with us as we roll down Route 66 for a pit stop at Pop’s Restaurant and ride through downtown Guthrie before reaching the final destination at Lucille’s Restaurant in Mulhall. Upon arrival, this year’s western theme will be in full swing with a delicious lunch served up by Lucille’s as well as live music, activities, plus a silent and live auction with great items to choose from.
Every penny raised goes to the Regional Food Bank’s Food for Kids programs.
By riding together, we can solve childhood hunger in our state.
